About Us

Sterling and I had wanted to ride our bikes across the continent for many years. When we reached our 60’s we decided we couldn’t wait any longer. So we retired and started planning. We had a beloved whippet named Toby. We tried to get him comfortable with a chariot attached to one of our bikes, but he said it was a hard NO. So we came up with the plan to take our car on our bike ride. One of us would ride their bike in the morning while one of us drove the car with Toby. We planned to meet for lunch, and trade places, the driver would pedal, and the cyclist would drive.

We had made our plans and even made reservations along the way, when our sweet Toby’s heart gave out and we had to say good bye. Now we are heading out without him. As any plan that comes into contact with reality changes, so has our adventure. We decided it was best to stick with the schedule, and are still taking our car, but the driver is going to have time to read more.🥲
