Sunday

Today I had to cancel all our reservations for the rest of the month. We are sure finding it hard to get this party started! We have an appointment tomorrow morning to find out just what is going on with our car. It would cost around $9,000.00 to replace our transmission. I’m hoping that isn’t what we are facing, but I always like to expose my mind to worse case scenarios. Somehow I think that will help me be ready for whatever comes.

The weather was great today. We sat outside our motel room talking about adventures. What makes them great, and what we want in an adventure. We aren’t sure we wanted this to be this hard. I was thinking how just going somewhere you have never been before can be an adventure. That doesn’t sound that hard.

Thankfully it was Sunday today. We were able to go on line and watch the service at our home church. It was really encouraging. The speaker talked about what is really valuable in life. It’s not having a lot of money or possessions, and it’s not about being beautiful, at least not on the outside. Relationships are valuable. Doing the right thing is valuable. I was really encouraged by the lesson. At the end of the day I feel better than I did at the beginning of the day, and that is also valuable.

all of what you wrote is very true and I’d like to add that your cute haircut is valuable too! You two enjoy each other so much, this will be one of your many stories. I hope it’s not very expensive!!

Adventures come in all shapes and sizes so consider this change part of the overall adventure. I hope the car is OK and doesn’t need a new transmission. That always concerns me because it’s like throwing good money after bad if the new transmission leads to other issues. Hugs guys. Love you lots and am praying for you.
