This morning we were going to breakfast when we saw this nest! Goggle Lens said they were baby morning doves!
We drove a little over an hour to Weiser, Idaho. Here we are crossing the state line.

Weiser is a really small town, but also the beginning of Idaho’s longest Rails to Trails trail. All over the US unused train tracks are being turned into walking, biking, and in some cases, horse riding trails. We have been looking for trails that are close to where we are going to be. This trail, called The Weiser River Trail, is 85 miles long. We were excited to try it out. The forecast said it would be pretty hot today, so we brought plenty of water. We drove straight to the trailhead, but it was already noon when we got there. (We also crossed into a new time zone, and lost an hour.) We did an out and back bike ride. We ended riding just under twenty miles, and took about two and a half hours. It was a lot of fun, but it got pretty hot, the mid nineties. Here are a couple of pics of the trail, and one of us feeling the heat!

I have a sun shade attached to my helmet, it really helps me not get sunburned!
After the ride we headed to our motel. That shower was wonderful!
Oh, I forgot to mention the beautiful horses we saw!

We also saw a zebra! But there were some very protective dogs in the yard next to him, so we didn’t stop to take his picture. We also saw lots of birds; Red Winged Blackbirds, Barn Swallows, Black-billed Magpies and Western Kingbirds. They had lots of colors and flitted around so beautifully. I wish I was a better photographer, so I could show them to you all!
Tomorrow we are planning to camp. The temperature is going to drop, and there is a chance of rain, so hopefully everything will work out!
So glad to hear from you!
