Mount Rushmore

It’s really quite incredible. Seeing people come from all over the country had a uniting encouraging effect on me. People can be so hard to get along with, much less love, but there are things about us that we all share. It is good to be a part of something bigger than yourself. Although this country has been far from perfect, we are glad to be part of it. And we want to help it continue, and grow to be better!

We are having a wonderful time traveling across the country and seeing people, sometimes a lot different, and some times very much the same as us. At both Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore there have been people from all over coming to see beauty in its many forms.

We were also overwhelmed with the beauty of the Black Hills of South Dakota!

We got to do a little hiking around Horse Thief Lake.
We’ve been seeing red winged blackbirds all the way from home, but we always enjoy their beauty and their song!

    Happy Rushmore kids!

    Funny how it is so iconic and it means something to us. I love your take on the neighborly feeling. Whether I feel proud or ashamed of the USA, I’m always very grateful to live here.

    I see the weather has warmed for you guys.

    So glad you’re seeing all these wonders here in our Country. I love the Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore is simply awe inspiring. Love the pictures.
