Niagara Falls!

This has been a place I was really looking forward to. I love being near natural bodies of water, especially rivers because they are so active. This is an active river!

We parked our car and started walking on a path next to the Niagara River. I was shocked that there was no barrier keeping people from entering the water, because it was moving so fast and there was so much water, no one could resist the current.

As we walked along we got to places they did have a barrier, but I still felt like I might accidently fall in!
We finally got to the falls and the experience was overwhelming! All that water, all that power. It reminded me of the ocean when it is really stormy.
I don’t know what to say except WOW!

We drove a couple miles down river, and walked on a path at the top of the river gorge. Even here the power of the river was awsome!

There’s a place they call the whirlpool. You can take a boat ride on the lower river, and this is one of the places the boats go to get everybody wet and screaming!
Also they had a gondola you could ride in over the river!
Neither of us were interested in dangling over the river!
Of course, I have to show you a few pics of the beautiful trees!

    I love me a good waterfall and these pics are beautiful! And no waterfall is complete without a rainbow. I know they don’t do it justice!! I’ve never been. Bucket list, for sure. I very much appreciate all the tree pictures! ☺️ Thanks for sharing.

    I’m one that wouldn’t have been able to resist the water lol…. I’d have been down in that current in NO TIME lol….I’m LOVING watching this WONDERFUL journey….thank you for sharing

    Funny thing is, I am constantly looking at trees and taking pictures of them too.

    Must be those walks we would take with Lisa around Sparks, singing This land is your land.
