Harrisburg, PA

Today we drove south to Harrisburg. Pennsylvania is a beautiful state with so much green, at least in June! Here are a few pics of the countryside.

We found another great bike path today and got an 18 mile ride in. The weather was beautiful!

This area was a lake that had been filled mostly with cattails. There were so many birds flying everywhere.

The wind made the cattails dance!

We saw a couple egrets. They are so striking!

Part of the bike path was beside the Susquehanna River. It’s a wide, slow moving river, at least here.

We also saw a deer. She didn’t seem to mind us at all!

And there was this carving of the fish in the river.

And this sculpture? of a frog.

There were these large, what we think were groundhogs. They were out eating different plants, but as soon as we stopped our bikes they would run and hide. Sometimes going into holes in the ground. They were very cute!

Sterling and I had a great time!

Tomorrow we drive to Fredricksburg!

So glad to hear from you!
