Cookeville, TN

We are in Cookeville tonight. It’s been a great day! After breakfast we drove to Oak Ridge, TN and found a park that was on relatively high ground. There were flash flood warnings, and we wanted to be safe! We got to go on an hour long walk. The sky was cloudy when we started and changed to some blue by the time we got back to our car. It was a really beautiful place. Here are a few pics.

A butterfly stayed still long enough for me to take its picture!

We found a small pond that had a sign saying don’t eat the catfish caught there. It seemed a real shame.

We took a selfie!

Look at this picture! Aside from all the different shades of green, look at all the different shapes and sizes of the leaves! As Spock said, “Infinite diversity in infinite combinations!”

This path called to me, but I was afraid of the mosquitoes!

And the flowers! It’s not even spring any more!

This was just the side of the road! Beautiful!

This is for my brother Jim. He thought if we were going to the Andy Griffith Museum we should also give Davy Crockett equal time. We haven’t found his museum yet, but we did drive on his parkway!

Tomorrow it’s Nashville

I’m hoping for some bluegrass!

It was probably the mosquitos that were calling your name and not the path, although I agree it was beautiful.

  2. That was an inviting little nook!

    This place is really pretty!

They were just showing some mosquito/tick spray named Mimikai. Deet free. All natural. Promising as I don’t usually like that kind of stuff.

    Carry on!!!

Enjoy Nashville ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve never been. Are you gonna go to Dollywood?
