Sorry for the late update. Yesterday was a fun filled day! We drove to the east side of Nashville, where there is a bike path that connects three parks. It also roams between two rivers, the Cumberland and the Stone. It was in the nineties, and high humidity, but when your bike is moving, it feels like a breeze passes over your skin. It’s such a relief! Here are some pics from our ride.

This was actually at the last park we rode to.

The forest around us was pretty thick. Lots of plants growing on the trees.

We were able to see some deer!

There was a bridge that reminded us of the Golden Gate bridge.

Sterling took a picture of me on the bridge, and I took a pic of him too!

We found this statue of a bird that told us we were not the only ones that were hot!

There were cattails! I love cattails, I think I read a book that talked about them, It could have been “The Wind in the Willows.” It was in my childhood.
After we finished the bike ride we hung out in a library again, waiting for time to check into our hotel. At the hotel we took baths, and cleaned up to head to downtown Nashville! There were tons of people, even if it was a Tuesday night. There were so many places with neon signs, and music coming out of everyone of them! Men were walking up and down the street, carrying guitars and pushing amplifiers! It’s called Music City, and I could see why.

We went to the plaza in front of the Ryman Theater where they had a free bluegrass show. It was really great enjoying live music. All around us the city was singing and moving with the various rhythms.

Bright lights, big city! Of course we went back to our hotel before the sun went down, so I’m not really sure how bright the lights were!
Now we are driving toward Memphis. We will stop a little before and sleep in Jackson so that we can have a short drive to the city and also the Mississippi River! I’ve never seen the Mighty Missisip. Ster has, since he lived in Missouri and Arkansas for about ten years, but I’m really excited!
So glad to hear from you!
