TORREZ TRAVELS

Were in Kansas! It was hard to leave Joplin. We had such a good time there. But we have to go home sometime.

Kansas is known for being flat, or at least I thought so. But we have been driving through rolling hills.

We have certainly seen flat areas!

Mostly we have seen farms.

Tons of corn fields !

Barns and outbuildings.

And these round hay bales. Ster and I wondered how you pick them up?! (They are quite large.)

There are some fields that don’t look too productive. But I guess even dirt needs to take a break every now and then.

I think they’re letting these fields dry out before harvesting.

There are also cattle farmers.

It’s hard to see, but these cows are heading for the water. It’s pretty hot out there!

There are rivers or creeks, of course, but not much in the way of wilderness that we have seen.

Tomorrow we will drive to a place called Wakeeney. See you then!
