We made it to Colorado! So far it looks a lot like Kansas. We went to a Methodist Church this morning. It was a different tradition than either of us were familiar with. It was also very small. We are definitely out of the bible belt. But we were able to worship, and that was the point!
The land is still pretty flat.

We have driven past more corn than I knew was possible!

And we are seeing many farms.

Apparently I’m fond of barns!
There were cattle! (I really like the clouds in this pic.)

And horses!

We also saw tons of windmills, the great big ones.

And it was very hot! the hottest I’ve ever been in.

In fact, our windshield was cracked this morning when we first got in the car. We think it was from the heat. We have been keeping one window slightly open now. We should have remembered to do that, but hindsight is 20/20! Tomorrow we are headed to Kremmling, CO. We will be able to see the Rockies from there!
So glad to hear from you!
