Vernal, UT

We left Limon on Monday, drove through Denver and spent Monday night in Kremmling, CO. Today we drove to Vernal, UT. The country has been so beautiful!

There are trees!

Pines, Aspen, Cottenwood!

And mountains!

And mountains with trees!

And rivers!

The humidity has dropped quite a bit, and everything looks brighter and sharper. Also the weather cooled down at night! This morning the air still had a chill to it at 9am! We both felt so much better. We stopped at a Colorado welcome center and were very amused by the things they had for us to see!

We loved this guy!

Today we went to the Dinosaur National Monument!

This area is so majestic! We finally saw prairie dogs!

There is a small town just down the road from the Monument named Dinosaur.

And then when we got to Vernal we saw dinosaur statues everywhere!

This was a bike rack!

We are nearing the end of our adventure. Right now we are kinda tired and very homesick, but today was another exciting day and we really had a great time!

Next we are headed to Salt Lake City. Sadly the heat is joining us there, but I bet we survive!

  2. Michalle and Sterling! I have missed you both. It’s been very fun reading about your travel adventures! I’ve been to the dinosaur museum with Sara and Steven many years ago. We were on our way to a softball tournament and that was a fun stop. Safe travels on your way home! I’m looking forward to seeing you both again 😊
